Title How to Build a Model of a Structure Faster with a Script than with a GUI

This seminar will occur February 28 at 9.30 am and 4:30 pm (Pacific Time)

Register for the seminar:

  • June , at 9:30 am Pacific Time registration: [1]
  • Feb 28, at 4:30 pm Pacific Time registration: [2]

This seminar will demonstrate techniques that will allow the users to develop scripts that are easier to generate, easier to modify and debug, easier for others to decipher (think your advisor!) and less error prone. An example will be provided which will show how to generate a model for a moment frame of any size in under 30 lines of code.

Presentation Material of the seminar will be made available here when ready:

This seminar will demonstrate how scripts can be used to generate building models faster and with less error than can be built using your typical graphical user interface. Example Buildings will include a moment frame and a braced frame.
