CVS access

Post by rjaeger »

Hi Frank,

Just a few questions:
How would one get cvs write access? I sometimes find bugs that I fix on my own computer but cannot fix them in the cvs trunk. Is this a possibility?
Or, would you rather have bugs reported to the forums and fix them yourself?
Would you be willing to add files which I have created to the CVS trunk?

Thanks.

Robbie,

only 3 people have write access to the whole repository. Such write access is only given to people with a proven track record. we can't give write access to anybody for fear of what they might do. for someone creating a new element or material we can set it up so that that person has write access to a single directory containing that persons files.

for the moment if you send me the files when you find a bug i will check them in and acknowledge you as the person who made the change.

Hi Frank,

That's completely understandable. I will send you the files/fixes when I find bugs.

Thanks,
Robbie
