Questrion about shear link in eccentrically braced frame

Post by dynaforce »

hello ,
I want to model eccentric steel brace frame.
This model is one story - one bay Frame and shape of brace is inverted V with 2 metre eccentric :
---[1]---0----[2]----0---[3]---
+++++/++++++++++\+++++
++++/++++++++++++\++++
+++/++++++++++++++\+++
++/++++++++++++++++\++
+/++++++++++++++++++\+

I have a question :
How to model shear link part [2] ?

Thanks for Your Help.

you could use a force beam column, and a section aggregated from an elastic section and properties for the shear deformation.

or use the TImoshenkoBeam
