hysteresis curve is thinner

Post by susan »

Hi all,

The hysteresis loading-unloading loop (flag curve) obtained from OpenSees follows the same in the experimental test in modeling of self-centering system. But the OpenSees curve is thinner in comparison with test (lower energy absorbed).

Would you please let me know the possible reasons?

Thank you.

it should be the same. You can check the post yield stiffness ratio and the plastic material parameters of both energy dissipation elements and beams as well and compare them with supplier materials data sheets.
You can send me your script file if you wish.
