with initial state analysis wrapper

Post by shuaicai »

When the underground structure was after gravity analyses, it is necessary to reset the deformations to zero with "initial state analysis wrapper".

So my question is : how to use this comoand, can you give me a simple example? Thank you! Chengxuelei.

- turn off the frictional interfaces
- perform the gravity analysis
- reset the deformations to zero (with initial state analysis wrapper)
- turn on frictional interfaces
- let the structure with its weight (or force) move relative to soil to develop the proper skin resistance

Now you can go for dynamic analyses.

There is an example with Initial State Analysis Wrapper under "Excavation Supported by Cantilevered Sheet Pile Wall" in Wiki.
