Reinforcing Steel Material

Post by saranathg »

Hello Everyone..

I'm currently trying to develop a reinforced concrete column with the use of Concrete02 and ReinforcingSteel materials. However I am unable to find appropriate values for Esh, esh and eult variables (I wish to use fy - 250MPa, fu - 400MPa and Es - 200GPa). The column is expected to undergo large deformations and eventual failure but without proper values for the above variables I cannot seem to make it work. If you can either direct me to any particular journal with appropriate values or mention commonly accepted values for the above type steel reinforcement I would be much obliged.

Thank You very much
Seth

Although not exactly what you are looking for, there is some tensile test data for more conventional longitudinal steel bars at the following link. You could consider using this data to get a feel for what sort of values might be appropriate.
