how define a hing connection

Post by nahid2011 »

Dear Sir or Madam

Hi

For a hing connection I tried to define two fifferent nodes in the same location and constrain their Transitional degrees of freedom (longitudinal, transversal and up and down movements) by equalDof command.

is it correcte?

In case of a beam-column elements the only way to define pinned connections is by using equalDOF command.

Truss elements are pinned at their ends.
