I would model a 2D shear building. How can I model this? Do I use [rigidLink beam] or [equalDof] or [I(beam)*I(beam)] or...?

To model 2D shear frame you can use either of the three options you suggested. If you use [rigidLink beam], fix rotations at master nodes and for constraint handler use Transformation (this is what makes your beam rigid).
