Compiling OpenSees: identifier 'TCL_Char' error

Post by rcsoul »

I am trying compiling OpenSees using 2006/07/09 CVS version but always got error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'TCL_Char' although openSees.exe had been successfully compiled. Will there exist any unpredictable problem if I ignore this error and use the compiled openSees.exe? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hello,

If I understand well, the version you are trying to compile is not released yet, it means, it is under development so it is probably that gives some errors during the compilation.

For the same reason, there is not a binary .exe of this version. As I have checked, the last version of the available opensees.exe is V1.7.2 and the stable source code is V1.7.1

Regards,

Carlos
