Hysteretic material & Uniaxial Section

Post by WhiteNoise »

Hello OS community,
Perhaps I misunderstood the manual but for a 2D model, I assigned an Hysteretic uniaxialMaterial to an Uniaxial section for a nonlinearBeamColumn element.
Somebody knows whether it's conceptually correct? I'm trying to model a cable but I got the following error message:

Domain::update() - domain failed in update
Newmark:: update() - failed to update the domain
WARNING ModifiedNewton::solveCurrentStep() -the integrator failed in update()
DirectIintegrationAnalysis:: analyze() - the algorithm failed at time 0.04
OpenSees>analize failed, returned: -3 error flag
WARNING - ForceBeamColumn2d:: update - failed to get compatible element forces & deformations for element: 52 (dW: << 1.0001e-12)

The same model with elastic elements gives correct results.

Thanks in advance.

check the material and check the element.
check the material and check the element.
I'll do it.
Thank you.
