problem with developing new uniaxial material

Post by rezarahimi »

Dear Dr.Frank McKenna
I had build a new uniaxialMaterial .dll file by your pdf "Adding your code". In this material every thing looks right with sample example that you put in developer folder and i build a new model which was only a column and it does work right but when i used this material for a complex model (3-story zipper braced frame) I'm getting convergence error. The point is when I change the material to ElasticPP or steel02 with hardening ratio of zero same errors appears on the screen.

Is it possible to fix the problem?

I sincerely appreciate your generosity.

Dear Dr.Frank McKenna

I find my problem and I fixed it. My material is working correctly, but i don't know how to represent it to every one.

Is it possible for my to add my material in newer versions of opensees?

yes .. you have to send it to me, with some examples and some documentation that demonstrate it's usefulness and accuracy.
