Use Hysteretic Material instead of Steel02 for columns

Post by alima2065 »

Hi dears

I want to use Hysteretic Material for my fiber columns instead of Steel02 because the Steel02 doesn’t Make any deterioration in elements. You know the effect of strength deterioration in collapse capacity is significant. But I couldn’t find a good reference for damage parameters for steel components ($Damage1 ,$Damage2). Would mind putting me on a valid reference or report about these parameters and their limits. :?:

sorry, there is no good reference. have a look at the examples here:

i suggest you plain with the parameters in a SDOF model to get comfortable with the parameters.
