zeroLengthContactD element

Post by yinxia3690 »

Dear everyone,
I am sorry to disturb you again, but I need help.
I added the zeroLengthContactD element between two BeamColumn elements successfuly .However ,I modulate the analysis for all the situations,it does not work.(matrix is singular)
I know the zeroLengthContactD element can be used in the brick elements, but is it only used in tne brick elements?Doesn't it work in the BwamColumn elements?
Thank you very much!

as gang wang as told you directly .. you have to add additional nodes that have 3dof to use the contact element and then constrain them using the equalDOF command
