rigid element

Dear silvia

I would model soil-structure interaction (2D). I would create a rigid foundation by B*D dimension in my model.

Which element can I use for rigid foundation?

if 2 d you could use a Quad element with an elastic material with large stiffness, i.e. a penalty type constraint.
