P-M curve ?

Post by tperea »

I have seen a procedure to get the moment-curvature analysis on a fiber section. Is it possible in OpenSees to get the axial force - moment bending curve of a fiber section?

like a P-M interaction diagram??
for what? nominal? plastic? yield?

yes, that can be done, in a similar manner, but, instead of holding P constant, you hold concrete strain constant.

Thank you for your response. Since then, I have studied the manual and tried some commands (sp, nodeDisp) to hold concrete strain (not curvature) in a fiber section, but without any success. Could you please give more details? I will appreciate any suggestion.
