what kind of model can i use?

My soil properties obtained from experiment is like below:

Group Symbol: CL-ML (Unified Soil Classification System)
Group Name : Silty clay

phi = 21.8 (frictional angle)

my question is:

what kind of soil model can I use? I use “nDMaterial PressureIndependMultiYield” I like to use Drucker-Prager model or cam-clay. I analyze 2D soil and structure on it (SSI problem). structure is linear.

when i use PressureIndependMultiYield material the analysis and Experiment is the same in free field analyze, but when i put the structure on it the analysis show different than Experiment. please help me.

This is not an easy decision to make. If you have experimental data, you should see which models give you the best fit at the material level before you work on the global scale.

in 2D analysis I can use PIM material with Von-Mises and PDM material with dr*ger-pruger type.

PDM material is for clay and PIM material is for sand, is this true or am i wrong? :lol:
