Spring element

Post by YH Bao »

Hi, friends

Does anyone know how to add a spring (i don't find such spring element in OpenSees) between two nodes which are not in the some position?
In my case, i will assign it with an uniaxial material.
ZeroLength element (seems) works for the case that two nodes are in the some position.
Thanks

use a Truss .. just remember stress-strain versus force-deformation for material .. if nodes
along an axis you can use the ZeroLength.
