In nDMaterial for PlateRebar, the reinforcement direction is controlled by "sita." You need to define the angle of the reinforcement layer, 90° (longitudinal) or 0° (transverse).
Is this correct? It seems a bit odd that the reinforcement direction is not defined with respect to a coordinate system but rather by the dimensions of the element. For a quadrilateral element, how can the longitudinal or transverse direction be determined?
Let's assume the elements are rectangular, so you can easily determine the longitudinal direction. Following the definition, does one need to examine the model for the longitudinal direction of each element and adjust the "sita" parameter accordingly? Is this correct?
