Recording Time period of structure during NTHA

Post by mkumar07 »

hELLO eVERYbODY,

I was wondering , if it is possible to record time period(s) (1st mode, 2nd mode) during the non linear time history analysis of structure.

I would love  to know how the time period of my structure changes due to yielding at various location

Take Carez,

sure, in the examples, the time-history analysis is done one step at a time. you can put in the eigen command at the end of each step (or every Nsteps to not slow things down too much)
