Converting PEER ground motions to Opensees format
Hello everyone!
I have pass through the details on the procedure on how to convert PEER ground motions to opensees format(ReadSMDFile.tcl
http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/m ... al/761.htm ) but could not understand.could anyone provide me with some more details and what exactly should i write for inFilename,outFilename,inFilename ID,out Filename ID.

Basically this file converts the ground motions in the PEER database to a format that OpenSees can understand. For this purpose, it deletes the first few rows and extract the information of the time step dt and the number of time steps NPTS from these first few rows.
When the PEER ground motion format changes, the ReadSMDFile.tcl may not work and may require small adjustments, so it is best if you understand the small code in it. Feel free to let me know in case of questions figuring it out.
