i want to model frame (2D)that underground openings have Retaining walls.
how can I model two of the following:
1-Retaining walls
2-Forces perpendicular to the wall

you can use either forceBeam or shell elements. both can take forces perpendicular to the wall.

How do I use the shell element for modeling Retaining walls.
in openseeswiki I read this sentence,
Shell Element is a 3D element with 6 dofs and CAN NOT be used in 2D domain.
