zerolength element record

Post by sualim »

hi i built up a 2D RC model

I used a zerolength element to assign the hysteretic loop of column

checked the output file, a force of the zerolength element was 6 columns,

I thought 3columns is axial force, shear force and moment force

and the other was just the opposite sign

ex> 10 20 500 -10 -20 -500

how can I understand it?

could you explain the numbers detailedly??

depends what the directions you assigned are .. if you are getting 6 outputs you provided 6 directions, the results in each column are for those individual directions.
