recorder node reaction

Post by sualim »

Hi,

I build up 2D lumped plastic model

so I checked the node reaction to verified my model is right.

the output file is 3dof (dx, dy, rz)

what is the unit of dx and dy ?

my tcl's unit is N, mm

so, the unit of dx and dy is N ?? and rz's unit is N.mm ???

value of dy and dz was almost 0

but dx's value was too high (maximum was 4000)

In my opinion, dx, dy and rz value was almost zero to satisfy condition of equilibrium of force

My model was wrong??

plz, some coment, thank you~

the units are whatever units you are working in.

if you are checking global equi and it is not in equilibrium with what you thiink it should be sounds like the model inputted is not what you think.

thank you for a reply

could you explain how can I check the global equi??

Is it sum of all node on the same floor??

get the nodal reactions from nodes and by hand or in script determine if global equilibrium is satisfied.
