Tcl/Tk executable Not Found

Hello,

I have been trying to download Tcl/Tk executables for the current 2.4.5 version but both links for the 32-bit and 64-bit applications take me to a page that says:

Not Found
The requested URL /ActiveTcl/releases/8.5.16.0/ActiveTcl8.5.16.0.298506-win32-ix86-threaded.exe was not found on this server.
Apache Server at downloads.activestate.com Port 80

I'm not sure if there is something not properly configured on my end or if there is some other error? The OpenSees executables download just fine.

Hello,

i have the same problem. Does anyone know if its also possible to use the Tcl/Tk from this website: http://www.tcl.tk/software/tcltk/download.html (it seems to be a more current version).

you want the 8.5 version from this site:
http://www.activestate.com/activetcl/downloads

i will also update the links on our page .. when they upgrade, they remove the old links.

I am trying to install Opensees. When I do this, it shows the following error:
"The program can't start because tcl85.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I have tried to install tcl using the link provided in this thread, but it still displays the same error.
Could anyone help me please?

you need to install tcl and install in correct location.
