problem of reading accelerograms

Good morning,
Dr.Mckenna i found a problem in reading accelerograms for this example "Ex4.Portal2D.analyze.Dynamic.EQ.Uniform" ; i used one from the peer website :"RSN1_HELENA.A_A-HMC180" instead of "H-E01140"
I found the same results with the "Ex4.Portal2D.build.InelasticFiberSection" ,i mean the displacement value of node 3.
So there is no seismic calculations , opensees can't read the file§
Can i use a text format ?
I tried but the same problem.

do the 2 records have similar stuff at the start, i.e. number of lines describing were the record was and DT and NPTS of the record. if so, it could be a simple case of you not understanding the script and replacing the wrong file. make a cpy of the original, and then copy the new to the original and see what happens..

Thank you for this answer it's ok now,it was the header, DT and NPTS of the record
