Do we have to follow the ft,kips,sec units in opensees navigator.can i use metric units?

OpenSees doesn't run on a defined system of units. It is up to you to use consistant units when you define your problem.

You can use any set of units in OpenSees Navigator, as long as you are consistent with defining ALL your properties in the units you selected. It is the same as with OpenSees.
