I'm using 1.6.2 version, and it also employs about 50% system capability on Windows system of PC. I want to know how to get a parallel version.

I find a very strange problem. When you compute with Opensees, and it just employs about 50% system capability, even for the server with 2 CPUs. I want to know how to improve its performance.

Does anyone know How to simulate the point hinge in OpenSees? In the SAP2000, we can input rigid-plastic moment-rotation relation without hinge length.

you should use dx=100.0/60.0. When you use dx=100/60, program would round-off number.

Displacement based element suppose distributed plasticity has linear curvature distribution. The purpose of my research find the actual curvature distribution, so it couldn't meet. I will refine the element according your suggestion, Thank you!

I built a bridge model with fiber element and applied uniform excitation. I set g=4.8 and get convergent result. convergence issue

Hello, everyone.

I performed a transient analysis. When I take P-delta effect into account, the analysis stop for convergence issue. But the analysis could achieve convergence leaving P-delta effect alone. How to improve the convergence of the analysis?

The command that berktaftali give me is right. When the program is running, we must stop recoder object that is writing data to the file. So "remove recorder" is necessary.

I see. For a fiber section, the recorded values will be axial deformation and curvature. So what fmk said is wrong.

Thank you! From the scripts, we know that Fig b is right. For example, $numIntgrPts equal to 5, and length of element is 2. We aquire the deformation of section 2. fmk has said, for the section it's the angle .. we try to update the documentation as users post questions like this .. keep them coming...
