vesna, I am not sure what the right syntax is. For example, I've tried: recorder Element -file Joint.out -time -ele 312 force (let's say 312 is the joint element) and recorder Node -file Joint.out -time -node 12 reaction (let's say 12 is for the central node) In the first case, I was able to record ...

Joint2D element recorders

Hello everyone! In the documentation it is suggested that the Joint2D element has valid recorder inquires. I have tried the element and node recorders but to no success. If anyone has any suggestions, I'll happily try them out. Thank you!

Thanks - I'll check it once more. I ran the analysis using OpenSEES 2.1.0 and it didn't crash. I am unsure as to what the underlying cause for the crash is.

Hello everyone. It is my understanding that OpenSEES *used* to have the capability of simulating SMAs. Could someone please explain (briefly) when the capability was introduced, what exactly it could (and could not) do and when it was removed? I come across references to Fugazza's and Taftali's work...
