The parameters of PressureDependMultiYield for Nevada Sand

Are the parameters of the PressureDependMultiYield constitutive model calibrated for Nevada Sand? Please let me know how I can find them.

Thanks in advance.

Read this:

cyclic.ucsd.edu/opensees/OSManual_UCSD_soil_models_2008.pdf

I used the commands in this paper, but I got another error. If you can get correct results, please tell me.

ZeroLengthND in opensees 2.1.0

Hi, My question is that which materials are of order 2 and 3? I think Drucker-Prager model is of order 3, Isn’t it? I used the following command for zeroLengthND element, but I got the same message. Element zeroLengthND $eleTag $iNode $jNode $matTag What is the problem? Which type of material should...

Update material parameters during loading

Hi kyonten, Thanks for your help. I used the command, updateParameter - element 1 -hPerm 6.6e-5, which is in the manual but I got the following message both for the elastic-plastic material and for the UCSD soil models: Expected integer but got “- element” Studying the examples in the cyclic.ucsd.ed...

zeroLengthND element in OpenSees 2.1.0

Hi Silvia,

Is the zeroLengthND element available in the new version of OpenSees(ver. 2.1.0)?

I got the following warning:
“ZerolengthND:: --NDMaterial not of order 2 or 3”

Many Thanks

Update material parameters during loading

Hi,

I am using Dafalias-Manzari model so it seems that I can't update permeability during earthquake excitation. Am I right?

Thanks!

EPWP & Dafalias-Manzari model

Dear Professor Jeremic,

Thanks for the note, but I became confused. I have used small deformation up_ucdavis elements with both Drucker Prager and Dafalias-Manzari model. Does it mean that my results are wrong? and what should I do?

Thanks again.

Update material parameters during loading

Hi everybody,

I am using the EightNode_Brick_u_p elements in my model. The permeability coefficient should be changed during earthquake loading. Is there any command to update the permeability coefficient during earthquake excitation?

Thanks in advance.

EPWP & Dafalias-Manzari model

Hi, I have modeled a 23(m)x23(m)x10(m) saturated soil deposit in which the soil constitutive model is Dafalias-Manzari. My problem is that very little excess pore water pressure is generated during seismic excitation( e.g. I got 12 kPa which should be 50 kPa). When I used the following values for in...

Dynamic loading

Hi everybody, To impose a dynamic load ( sinusoidal loading ) at pile head I used the Sine time series for Load pattern and the transient analysis for analyzing. But results showed that the maximum load imposed at pile head is much greater than the input. What is the problem? Is there any other way ...
