Hi rejina,
I'm working on a similar model.
Did you eventually figure out the convergence issue and did you end up using ElasticPPGap or Steel 02 for the tendons?
Thanks!

Re: Rocking wall- rocking interface and damping questions
Thank you for your reply. As an alternative way to model this, I was wondering if there is a different material type that you would recommend.

Rocking wall- rocking interface and damping questions
Hi, I’m modeling a rocking timber wall on a timber base (not quite as rigid as steel or concrete base) so there is some compression deformation of the base at the wall toe. To model the rocking interface I’m using ElastiPPGap . My two questions: 1- Is this the correct approach as far as the interfac...

Re: P Delta Effects in Zerolength Element
Hi Jeena,
Did you end up using the suggested method?... how did you incorporate it into your model and how were the results?
Thanks!

Re: Connect zerolength element using rigid link element
Hi Jeena, Thanks for the reply!... For now I'm working on simple 2D shear wall models and want to perform pushover analysis. Initially I want to learn how to do multiple stories in 2D and then I might expand it to 3D. If you could attach the entire code for IDA and THA that will be great. Also, I ha...

Re: simple shear wall model... Help!
Hi Jeena, I used the modified model you suggested and added the load pattern to perform the pushover analysis but I'm getting 0 values for node 1 reaction. Please let me know your thoughts on this! I can cope the source file if you think that will be helpful. pattern Plain 2 Linear { load 3 0.53 loa...

simple shear wall model... Help!
Hi all, I'm a beginner in OpenSees and I want to perform a pushover analysis on a simple two story shear wall model. I followed the procedure given in this post and am using zerolength element. http://opensees.berkeley.edu/community/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=100266#p100266 I'm getting this error "...
