Hello,
I want to rigid a foundation in 2 Dimenstion. I used equalDOF command. when i record the displacements of this foundation, the records differs and not equal and not rigid. can anyone help me?
Thanks

Maxwell Material-Series Material
Hello, 1- Is ViscousDamper uniaxialMaterial different from defining Viscous uniaxialMaterial and stiffness material in series (Maxwell model)? 2- How can i get a proper number for the ($alpha : Viscous damper exponent) in the ""uniaxialMaterial ViscousDamper"" in my model? http:/...

Mat Foundation
Hi everyone I am modelling a frame system with a mat foundation and I am studying the effects of soil interaction with the structure. Hence I am using the “ShallowfoundationGen” command. It seems the “ShallowfoundationGen” command is mostly for strip footing. How can I incorporate the command into m...

Stiffness Degradation
Hello,
I want to consider "Stiffness Degradation" in steel material in a steel frame. what type of material should i use?
uniaxialMaterial Pinching4
or
uniaxialMaterial SteelMPF
or
...?
Does anyone have an example?
With Best Regards

Hello ;
I want to model Translational and Rotational springs with “C” and “K” coefficient at a node with zerolength element.(K_x, K_y, K_z, K_xx, K_yy, K_zz) I don't know how assign C parameter in springs specially in rotational springs. Please help me.
Thanks.

Soil-Structure Interaction
Hello; I need an example for modeling soil beneath the raft foundation (mat foundation) in "3-Dimensional" Space. By spring elements or by quad element. It should be noted that "ShalloFoundationGen" Command in opensees that released by Dr. Raychowdhury is a very good command that...

Dear sonminkyun;
I think that you have an unused node in your model.
thanks

Monitor the Plastic Hinge
Hi;
I want to know how can i monitor(view) the plastic hinge formation in a model in opensees? (similar to ETABS and SAP that they display the plastic hinge formation during pushover analysis).
thanks
