Best Solution Algorithm for Convergence Problems in IDA

Hello thank you for your useful responses It goes without saying that incremental dynamic analysis in sophisticated models causes convergence problems and we need to add a solution algorithm, to eliminate these problems. I prepared an incremental dynamic analysis code using a for-each loop like this...

Using MVLEM Element Command for Modeling RC Walls

Hello Dear I like to use MVLEM Element Command for Modeling a RC Wall. Could you please explain about my opacities? 1- Why the height was separated to 17 points in the relevant (.tcl) code? In other words, I’d like to know that is node 17 for top of building or is for top of story? (MVLEM_RW2.tcl): ...

Re: Considering P-Delta Effects in bracing frames

Dear, Thanks a lot for your quite complete response Now, I have some opacities, Please help to my understanding: 1- It means that in a braced frame we must apply all PDelta loads to leaning column’s nodes. Is it right? 2- I want to know about effect of this leaning column in Capacity Curve’s shape. ...

Considering P-Delta Effects in bracing frames

Heloo
Please Explain to me This Matter:
How do i Consider P-Delta Effects (Large P-Delta) in a bracing frame without Using Leaning Column Algorithm (Mrs-Laura Eads, Stanford University, 2010 ).
Because it Seems that way is Just for moment frames.
Thanks a lot
