proble with MPA analysis
hi
i have 9 story building
in my MPA analysis my capacity curve for first mode is ok . but for second mode my capacity curve has large steps (these steps are related to base shear changing)
what should i do?

Re: semi rigid diaphragm
if i want everything 3d. i should use from "ElasticMembranePlateSection" element that its thickness is the thickness of floor and its node should constraint by my plane node is it right? . because i use this method but the period of my structure has a lot of error when i compare it by ETAB...

Re: semi rigid diaphragm
i want to use from your quad elements suggestion but i don't know you about "2 modelbuilders required and equalDOF between the 2 sets of nodes" may explain more about it what dof should use in equalDOF command? may model is like: http://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/images/d/dd/Ex8.genericFra...

I try all type of element for Beam, Brace and column
but my problem don't solve
after using penalty get compatible error is in many beam, brace and column
