ForcedBeamColumn element

Dear You can use the "ForcedBeamColumn2d" for modelling of RCelements. Thereupon, you can recieve plastic rotation in each end of element. I think that the element with distributed plasticity is better than lumped plasticity for modelling of RC element!!! (considering of crack distribution...

strain is'nt reasonable

Dear fmk I modeled a RC moment frame 2D using forceBeamColumn2D. I performed nonlinear time history analysis. Also, I use following recorder: recorder Element -file deformations[expr $j].txt -ele [expr $j] chordDeformation first column is strain and others columns are chord rotations; results of ana...

parallel processing

Dear Fmk

Thanks for your help. I used OpenSees 2.2.2 and solved my problem. I need to parallel OpenSees.
How do I do parallel processing in OpenSees? Can you introduce a simple example that explain this process? Do I use special comments for this aim?

Thanks.

windows Server and two parallel CPUs (error)

Dear Silvia I installed OpenSees 2.2 in windows Server2008. My computer consists of two CPUs that work as a Parallel. When I would open OpenSees.exe, this following error is displayed: :shock: "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see t...

Constraint Plain or Transformation

Dear Silvia Thanks for your attention, What's your opinion about using of the Constraint Plain or Transformation for nonlinear time history analysis in my model (RC moment frame) with equalDof?Which is Constraint Handler suittable for this modeling? Meanwhile, I performed static analysis before nonl...

shear frame

Dear
please;

I would model a 2D shear building. How can I model this? Do I use [rigidLink beam] or [equalDof] or [I(beam)*I(beam)] or...?

Thanks
